Growing up in a previously disadvantaged suburb in the heart of Durban, Mr Innes overcame much adversity to be the great leader, communicator, strategist and entrepreneur he is today.

Excelling in both academic achievements as well as his sporting aspirations, Mr Innes is a decorated South African amateur and professional boxer.

Although his professional sporting career was cut short by injury, his ambition to become a successful, independent businessman manifested early on in his corporate career.

Mr Innes exemplifies the South African dream and is the quintessential example of vertical integration. From an entry level position at a large retail group’s financial services division responsible for debt recovery, he worked his way up through the ranks, displaying a unique ability to work within a collective. He played to his strengths and lead through consultation and consensus, playing a pivotal role in what was regarded as a significant turnaround in that retail group’s performance. Understanding that change was a part of development, he moved onto the challenge of being an entrepreneur.

He decided to target the Petroleum, Construction and Trading sector and has gained vast experience over the past decade, which has been attributed to his many talents that were essential for climbing the corporate ladder as swiftly as he has.

Mr Innes has a natural understanding of economics, influence, and networking and coupled with his strong-minded, practical, and dedicated approach, stood him in good stead with many business associates and captains of industry, making him the “go to guy” to get deals done in the corporate world.
His skills, charm, down to earth personality, outstanding judge of character, ability to articulate tactfully and communicate with employees and billionaires alike have catapulted him to being one of the leading strategists in his field.
